They step over the line any number of times; were there no videotape of the incident from the OP, I’d have little trouble figuring this was one of those times. However, this time there was videotape; we don’t need to wonder whether this happened to be one of the times when the police stepped over the line; we can see for ourselves whether this happened to be one of the times when an officer went on the attack for no good reason, or whether the officer was assaulted first and responded with a reasonable amount of force. ---
