Tangent – does this third-hand theory actually exist in the medical literature:
Practically no one can actually die of nut exposure – maybe less than 100 people worlwide. However, once it is known that someone has a nut allergy, there is no medically reliable way to determine how mild or severe the next reaction would be. While such a case would be vanishingly rare (statistically), someone could pass a challenge test 100 times in a row – and then drop dead in seconds after test 101.
