Well, **Chrome Spot** , I went into college wanting to get my Anthro Master’s so that I could become a Museum Curator. So I was in the Archy branch of Anthro…and hating it. I thought it would be interesting and not easy, but well, understandable. That was my big mistake (you know what happens when you assume…). I just got so bogged down in the material that I forgot why I started the subject and the spark that was there before, urging me to learn all about this subject, was extinguished. Sad really. Now I don’t know what to do, and I am afraid of killing my interest in any other subject, the way I did for Anthro.
And **JRob** , you got tired of lurking and of hearing how wonderful this place is? Well, congratulations on coming out into the open and good luck in fighting ignorance. 😉

I second what someone else said (I’m not gonna go check who) about college. There’s learning and there’s learning.
I majored in Spanish/Sociology and I edit medical journals. Also, I got a few Ds in stuff I thought I would like, but I didn’t drop the classes because I needed to get out in 4 years.
Good for your mom sticking it out until you graduate. After opening this thread, I checked your webpage and realized I had seen it before. Who is the goth-looking woman on the home page?

Yeah, my mom is a saint for sticking it out till I graduate, but I think she will want to quit if I take a semester off. I don’t blame her either. The uni office atmosphere isn’t for her and she deserves to get an education too.
The goth-looking woman on my homepage is actually a man. His name is Brian Molko and he is the lead singer for Placebo. I think he is yummy.

Hmmm.
Well, I have no fascination about getting you together with Ariel. But… your automatic rejection of the Beast makes me wonder something.
If you were in Belle’s spot, could you have fallen in love with the Beast? I’d point out that she loved him not knowing he would ever become a human being again… of course, Disney being what it is, the sexual aspect of love isn’t really touched; we could easily assume that Belle planned a platonic lifestyle for herself after realizing she loved him.
But on the other hand… if she really loved him… well, perhaps this speculation is too weird. But my question stands: could you see yourself falling in love with a ill-tempered, hairy beast?
And - any attraction at all to Gaston?
Finally, have you noticed that although the Prince has apparently been under the spell - been a Beast - for ten years, but he isn’t twenty-one yet? Therefore, he must have met up with the old beggar woman at age ten. However, there is a painting of the Prince as an adult in the castle.

Okay, the reason I said I would lose my virginity to the Prince after he changes is because he would be human, not an animal. I am not big on beastiality. Sorry. I did find him endearing when he was a beast, but I would only go so far…geez. And Gaston was an asshole…why would I find him attractive?

Well, **Creaky** , I hate to burst your bubble, but I really don’t like cats. They make my nose itch, they scratch and are too independent. But if I had to choose, I would be something agreeable. Or just something black. Don’t know cat breeds, only some dog breeds…Sorry.

You’re right – maybe best to stick to generalized conversation about love, and not focus in too fully on the deflowering business.
Of course, that’s why I merely asked about your love for The Beast, and not anything else.
And it’s fair to say, I think, that there’s a underlying morality play in _Beauty_ - that looks are not at all critical to love.
So with that spelled out - can you see yourself falling in love with the Beast? _Eros_ or _agape_; take your pick. 🙂

My computer went to sleep and I wasn’t sure whether the post went through.
Here’s a question: can you remember what it was like before you knew about Disneyland? I am a singer since early childhood, and I can remember not knowing how to whistle a melody. I imagine the feeling would be the same. The question is basically, can you remember before your memories?

No, I seriously can’t remember what it was like before I knew about DL. You see, I have a lot of family out in Cali and so I am out there a lot. I don’t know when I found out about DL, but it must have been when I was really young. Now, I didn’t get really really interested in it until I was about 15 or 16 though. That was when a spark flew in my direction and something caught fire that I don’t think can ever go out. I can tell you that I seem to be a little more interesting because I like DL so much. You know, more to talk about.
