As a Canadian, I didn’t vote on the poll. Of course I remembered him well. Our town is having its annual Terry Fox run on Sunday.

I remember reading some clown who wrote an op-ed piece shorty after Fox died that predicted that in a few years, Fox’s run would be totally forgotten. Boy, was he mistaken! It is still a big deal here.

On Google I had to type all the way to Terry F… before Google brought up his name. And even then he was the fifth one down the list. Peope who beat him were:

Terry funk (I wanna know who Terry Funk is.)

Interesting, on Google.ca for just typing “Ter” one of 5 offerred items is Terry Fox.

Canadian here living in the States. So I didn’t vote in the poll.

My scout troop met at the Terry Fox school in Ottawa, so I am very familiar with him and what he did. I also participated in many Terry Fox runs growing up.
