The fact that Clinton will largely continue Obama’s domestic agenda is why I expect to vote for her in the general election.

I predict that she won’t unwind Obamacare (and perhaps will push for some important reform, like a public option); she will continue to keep relations open with Cuba and negotiations going with Iran (two fronts I strongly support); she will respect state rights with regard to marijuana legislation; she will support science; she will acknowledge global warming; she won’t push for a reckless tax cut or unfunded mandate; and she will appoint sensible judges. The economy will continue to improve, no major worldwide conflicts will erupt, and bitter old white dudes will continue to complain about getting their “country back”.

How will it be different? The snark directed at her will be tinged differently than the snark directed at Obama. Rush Limbaugh will replay old episodes from the 1990s and nobody will notice. And the GOP (plausibly convinced that she’s corruptible) will waste millions trying to concoct the next Watergate.

At this point in his terms, he had 49, with Obama @ 46. The average for Presidents at this point is 47%. So, Obama is a tad below average and Reagan, but so small it’s covered by the +/- error. So, one can say Obama has just about the same approval rating as Reagan.
