So a few weeks ago I’m listening to a local news show on the radio and I heard that according to the 2010 census I, a white guy, am now a minority in the city of Milwaukee. Living here I have no problem believing it, but I realized I haven’t a clue on how to look this up to verify it. So I’m wondering for future reference how to search out such specific info from a seemingly overpowering database of facts. Any help? As always, thanks in advance. ---

I’d start with [Wikipedia](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milwaukee#Demographics), which according to something other then the census, it says that we are in fact part of the 46.8% of the white population of Milwaukee…but let’s see if we can find the census data. ---

You could search on ‘2010 census milwaukee’ which will list a site with ‘2010 Census data for Wisconsin’, which has a link labeled ‘Milwaukee’, which has a pie chart with the breakdown of the races people claimed to belong to. BTW: You are one person, which has always made you a minority by any classification, imagined or otherwise. ---

Note that neither of the websites mentioned give the 2010 Census figures. One is the 2000 numbers and one comes from 2006 to 2008 numbers from the American Community Survey. I can’t find anything from the 2010 Census except for websites that say you can download a huge file. ---
