Just to comment: not all reptiles require being fed living beings.
The ones that come to mind are iguanids and uromastyxes.
I’ve had the former. They get rather large, require an extensive set-up, but have personality pouring out of all of their orifices. There are also -a lot- of them (green iguanas in particular) up for adoption.
Uros stay small, require higher temperatures, and are a bit less aggressive.
There are also canned foods for lizards which are partially herbivorous, such as bearded dragons. (Canned crickets, freeze-dried worms, etc.)
