Outside of going to a neighborhood type bar or a nice restaurant, I’m pretty much a homebody. The closest I come to being interesting is that I like to read. Mostly Sci-fi. And speaking of sci-fi; I’d choke a small puppy for a girl who shares my love of all things sci-fi. A dark sense of humor doesn’t hurt either.

I value light-heartedness, joy, humor, and tolerance. my favorite things to do are read and hang out with My Three Dogs (it’s like a sit com!)

Hey the thread is still going yay. I came close to dating a Doper but he lives on the other side of the planet and the commute was just too long.
38 year old single gay male on Long Island, New York. Non smoker. Into scifi and other geeky stuff. Various outdoorsy stuff. Burning man, couch surfing. Writing, photography, art, film, science, philosophy, strangeness, turtles, memetics. Meditation, yoga, light Buddhism.
I think my biggest challenge with dating so far is that I ultimately want a relationship that is highly loving, affectionate, and sexual, but I need time, trust, and guidance to transition into that.

Here’s an update.
This male is now 49. Still straight, still single.
Haven’t been looking for romance because of an unsettled work/school situation. I left that small town up north because of lack of work. I am now living with friends while rebuilding my life. I no longer have the car, but I have produced a comic book!
I am hoping to go back to school; I am waiting to hear results of my student loan application. If approved, I will go back to school. If not, I will continue looking for work. I am grateful for Doper help during this time. I should hear the final word about the student loan this coming week.
Other than that, I’ve been practising drawing, learning French, and playing way too much Minecraft with my friends’ kids. 🙂
