How's Roger Ebert Doing?

Well, he certainly doesn’t look horrific or mishappen from the tiny pic, just different to me, not the same person. Looks kinda like Mel Torme, frankly. Maybe with glasses the resemblance will return somewhat. Good on ya mate.

That’s exactly who I thought he looked like. Freaky.

Yeah, he actually doesn’t look as bad as I thought.

I have a new hero. Article in Chicago Sun-Times:

After losing half a jawbone, he still has dignity and a sense of humor.

Maybe I should link to the article in the Sun-Times…

I saw him on the evening news tonight, and while he may look good for someone that’s had cancer, a tracheostomy and is missing part of their jaw, well, he doesn’t exactly look great. Here’s a picture from a few days ago.

He appeared to be in good spirits for the event, but he sure didn’t look anything like he used to.

It’s his happening, and it freaks him out!

Ebert fans rejoice – for the first time in I don’t know how long, there’s a full slate of new reviews out! Welcome back, Rog!

Woo! Excellent. I have to admit, every time I saw this thread pop up I got a little nervous before clicking.

Glad to see Roger’s back. He had a lot of people hoping he would come back- even the person whose film caused him to say the phrase that’s the title of his newest book.

I love his comments on the action and background events in movies, like this one about Shrek the Third:

“Inter-species reproduction is so common in Far Far Away that it makes irrelevant such questions as whether Kermit and Miss Piggy ever had sex. Remember that the dragon and Donkey fell in love in the first film. For someone like me who has never understood how birds and snakes do it, thoughts of their marital adventures boggles the mind.”

I can’t think of another reviewer who gets into movies in quite that way.

The Answer Man is back.

Yes, I should have posted that myself. Glad to see the big guy is coming along slowly but surely.
