# How's Steorn getting on at this point?

I didn’t want to bump an older thread; how’s Steorn - of put an ad in the economist promising perpetual motion - getting on at the moment?

Dead in the water.

They have quietly given up on the Orbo because it just doesn’t work. Though you could buy an Orbo kit up until Oct 2010. I followed them since 2004 and cannot believe how many people believed them - I have been called ‘closed minded’ on many occasions!

Funnily enough, I was wondering this too and just did a search. They still feature [Orbo](http://www.steorn.com/orbo/) on their website but seem to have quietly dropped any claims of over-unity.
