Forecast is morning clouds, high of 49F (almost 10C), low of 37F (about 3C) - that’s just a wee bit warmer than average. As long as we’re not threatened with precip, I’m good - it’s a bit over 2 hours to my brother’s place where everyone is gathering. Funny how none of them want to drive the 2+ hours and come to our place… ever… ---

Day two of a predicted heavy snowstorm that started this evening just as we were finishing our English school Christmas party. It won’t matter once my husband gets home tomorrow some time. Then it can let rip! Actually in some ways it is a relief because we have had two weeks of stupid cold. -18ºC (0ºF) at 7am and highs of -7ºC (19ºF). This is February weather here and it’s been horrible as it came before we had snow depth (only 20 cm so far) so the roads were slick, slick, slick and no snow banked against the house or on the roof to act as insulation. Brrrrrr. Today it was only -11ºC at 7am and by the time the snow had falling it had really eased up to about -3ºC. ---

A disappointing 5C in Stockholm. Winter arrived (slightly) early this week and we have some snow, but apparently it is going to warm up again and thus the snow will probably disappear. ---

According to [weatherunderground.com](http://weatherunderground.com) and my local news station, we’ll have a high of 54F and it’ll be partly cloudy. From what I have observed since moving to this town, it’ll actually be between 60 and 65F, since we’re almost always warmer than what the weather sites say we will be. ---

We’re supposed to have a high of 52F and a low of 37F, with rain. Today, the first day of winter, it’s 72 degrees and my kids are in shorts and t-shirts. Ridiculous. We’re in North Carolina. ---

In the [Overberg](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overberg), Western Cape, South Africa: Cloudy, 22C (72F), 2% chance of rain, 30km/h SE wind. It’s supposed to be summer here, of course, but December is often still rainy and Jan/Feb are the really hot months. ---
