Does anyone happen to know the maximum weight of card stock that I can run through an HP Laserjet 4050? I’ve checked the HP website, and I’ve got the maximum _paper_ thickness, but I’m really wanting to run some card or cover stock through there, and i’d rather know what it can handle before I buy a ream.

Unfortunately, HP will only answer this question for me if my printer is under warranty, which it ain’t…

According to [guide](http://www.csit.fsu.edu/support/printer_manuals/HP/4050/quickref.pdf) it can handle paper up to 53lb.

I’d found that figure as well, so I’m guessing the thinnest cover stock I’ve found-- at 67 lbs-- is just a tetch too thick to work its way through the rollers.

[Here’s some 53lb paper](http://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/cat=1&prod=15.htm) for example. I don’t know if places Office Depot/Max or Staples would carry it.
