It’s not quite everyman’s dream. For one, he seems to only like blondes now. I prefer a varitey. But to make it complete, the Playboy Mansion would have to be in space. ---

It seems that for a huge chunk of his Playboy career before marrying Kimberly Conrad in '88, HH, though not strictly monogamous, would often have one steady girlfriend at a given time, sometimes for years (Barbi Benton, Sandra Theodore, Carrie Leigh) and a relatively modest number of collateral flings; and when married by most reports he tried to maintain monogamy for at least a few years. With the turn of the century he retook the swinging lifestyle in force, and I bet it was because of what I mentioned earlier (“I’ve made my mark, time to kick back and let go”). Still, it’s not like this is someone who’ll just plug anyone that walks in off the street, we’re talking a discriminating consumer who can pick and choose. Someone like him was probably _extremely_ aware of any emergent risk factors all along, specially considering how in the early 80s, before HIV broke through, there was already concern over herpes and antibiotic-resistant clap. ---

BTW, **vetbridge** didn’t mean to sound condescending to YOU in that first sentence, you are a trained health professional (just different type of patients) after all, but you never know who else may be reading and to me it is just obvious. Just wanted to draw attention to that high activity means high potential risk, but still manageable risk. ---

Now, let’s not be too hard on old Hugh. He’s had enough experience to know what he likes. If it’s 6, 7, or 8, young blondes with big tits and small asses, then that’s what he likes. There is no shame in being a hetero! ---

[/quote] **Graham** , you are new here. **Furt** has been posting for a long time and many of us know him as someone well-centered and in touch with who he is. You asked for opinions and he has given his. There are many people that would not be happy leading the lifestyle that **Hugh** Hefner appears to have lead. (Of course, no one knows the reality except Mr. Hefner.) That does not make them unhappy people. I will _try_ not to judge you for envying that lifestyle. Maybe you can extend the same courtesy to those male Dopers who would be unhappy to settle for that. Most of the women I know would not settle for being treated like a “thing.” Nor would they want a man who thought of them only as _bunnies_. ---

I also, find him not living my dream. I cannot fathom (I almost said _concieve_😃 ) having that many partners, ugh. I guess I’m a one-woman man. Love the bathrobe thing, though. ---
