Thank you, my dear friend for starting this. Thanks to all of you who replied. I haven’t been on the board much lately because of all that’s been going on in our families. This is just the latest blow in a series of blows. This is my little brother’s wife, you all know her as rosebear on here. I should also tell you that rosebear has a brain tumor, and was diagnosed with Mastoid disease, and now diabetes. She is not doing well at all, and losing her mother so suddenly (they think it was her heart) has been quite a blow. In fact, when she called to tell her twin sister here in SA, her niece (19, who was very close to her gramma) tried to slit her wrists and is also in the hospital on suicide watch. My older brother’s wife lost her dad less than a month ago. And she has some health concerns as well, as does one of her daughters. Mr Bear’s oldest sister suffered another stroke a couple of weeks ago, just after finding out some very bad news that will most likely result in the breakup of her marriage. She is home now, but has severe weakness on one side and her voice sounds like a very soft-spoken 10 yr old’s again. As for the bear family, we are hanging in there. We are dealing with some challenges, but God is good and will provide as He always has. Your prayers for our family members is greatly appreciated. … but not new to tragedy and the sorrows which accompany it. I see it on an almost daily basis on my job, but since I have started posting here, I have learned that my compassion should not end at the hospital door, and that there are people who need to be “touched” and nurtured even though I do not know them in a job-capacity.
