[QUOTE=KneadToKnow]
I love hot tub hummers.

How do you get those huge things into a hot tub? 😉

Or you could have used a [praying mantis](http://www.birdwatchersdigest.com/site/backyardbirds/hummingbirds/mantis-hummer.aspx?sc=birdwireJul2005)

ETA: WARNING! Kind of Icky!

I have done this trick twice with hummingbirds in buildings (a home and a warehouse). These wee beasties need a lot of energy to fly so they are always looking for a food source. I went outside each time and cut some flowers from a garden (red works the best). Then I would go to the room with the hummingbird and hold the flowers up in plain view. The bird came swooping down each time and stated feeding while hovering. I then backed very slowly to an open door or window and shook the flowers. The startled bird shot away and outside each time.

Very resourceful! You may not even need flowers, anything bright red would probably work.
