MPSIMS is the forum for posting jokes, humorous stories, etc. We regularly have such threads there. We prefer not to break down forums into very narrow topics. ---

Welcome to the Dope, @Dinoguy! Humour that is particularly political in nature might be judged to be more suitable for Politics & Elections. Also, there’s lot of humour in the Pit, usually in the way of scathing put-downs of other posters or individuals in the news who deserve it. The Pit has relatively few restrictions on, well, on just about anything. Except that wholly inoffensive threads may get moved out of the Pit to a more appropriate forum. ---

Because there is a conflict with Markdown rules, putting the `#` as the first character on the line won’t trigger the autocomplete. So if you want to test, type space then # and begin matching as you type. ---

No, only admins can create new categories. Users at trust level 3 (and staff, of course) can edit the title and category of a topic to help keep things in the right places, where they are more likely to be found. I’ve been tagging The Café and now the Game Room. More and more users are tagging their threads in The Café, so we’re building up a useful sub-category system. I like them, simple to use and easy to access.
