Who could forget a guy named _Thom_ living on a boat with two guys, one named _Perry_ something and the other named something _Penny_?
Producers who put shows like that together are like parents who give their kids names that leave them with monograms like _ASS_ or _DIK_. Just bad planning, that’s all.

Got your back, **Shirley.**** Simon and Simon** was the best of the bunch, if only because it didn’t actively attempt to destroy its own credibility (no Ferraris lent by a mysterious and unseen friend, no police officers blasting people away willy nilly with no repercussions, no high-tech talking helicopters, etc.)
It wasn’t the most believable show ever, but it wasn’t stupid. And the actors who played Rick and A.J. actually seemed like bickering brothers.

Lorne Greene has long since gone to that great Viper fighter/ranch house in the sky. There _is_ talk of a _Battlestar Galactica_ movie, but apparently Sci-Fi is only going to let one particular director do it, and he’s pretty busy at the moment… Still hope springs eternal.
