# Hypothetical: a shot given to a pregnant mother that ensures a heterosexual child. Do you do it?

No. But is there a magical shot I can take that would guarantee that my kid wouldn’t be a bigoted moron? I mean, I have significant faith in my parenting skills (I’ve already raised a kid who’s not a bigoted moron) but why take chances, right?

Yes. Straight male with two straight sons.

But when I’d thought of this as a “magic wand” hypothetical, I opt to use the wand to remove societal bias instead of making my offspring straight. But within the constraints of real life or a hypothetical, I’d opt to make things easiest for my offspring.
