In our household, and out, the following names are in common use: The Wife = My wife. The Boy = Me or the dog depending on context. The Animal = Our daughter or the dog depending on context. The Girl = Our daughter. No disrespect, a’ight? Word. ---

From the title of this thread I thought it was going to be about how the OP despises the wife of the man she is cheating with. My bad. I prefer the term “trophy wife.” However, “cumbucket” has a certain ring to it. ---

I frequently feign forgetting the wife’s name. “Hey, uh…” _snapping fingers, look of concentration_ “…you. Bring me some tea, huh?” “Get your own tea, you bald fucker.” Tickling breaks out. Everybody has a good time. To the OP: mind your own fucking business. ---

I’m not sure why all y’all are taking **VC03** so seriously. At this point, we all know that he has the shortest fuse in the world, and it amuses me to no end, the minutiae that send him off in a frothing fury. As far as Japanese words for spouse: I’ve noticed that on some anime, a married woman sometimes calls her husband “anata” - literally, “you”. Nobody seems to mind. Also, I read some years ago that it is customary for couples with children to call each other “Mother” and “Father”, and becoming “Grandmother” and “Grandfather” once grandchildren arrive. Any Dopers in Japan, is this common? Mr. Lucky prefers to be addressed (by me, at least) as The Guy, probably because the Princess and I are, collectively, The Girls. ---
