\*\*WE \*\*- you know what this is like? One of those cartoons where the bulldog latches on to the leg of Bugs Bunny, only to have Bugs step back and reveal that he made up a pipe or a 2x4 or something to look like his leg - but the dog can’t tell the difference and won’t let go. In the cartoon, I seem to remember that Bugs walked the fake leg, dog still attached, over to a cliff or something and startled the dog into letting go, who then fell off the cliff. Is that an option, WE?? By the way, nice summary of the situation in post #60, **Vinyl Turnip** … ---

What he did arguably wasn’t misquoting you, since the dependent clause “that everything I have cited has been refuted” wasn’t marked by punctuation or VB code as a quote. Rather, it was dishonestly paraphrasing you. Claiming he misquoted you is technically inaccurate, therefore–although in terms of debating techniques, it was morally equivalent. He’s still a dishonest astroturfer, near as I can tell, with a bizarre idea of the machinations of science, and crazy ideas about how to win an argument (viz. this thread, in which he thinks he’s winning a victory by pointing out that he paraphrased you dishonestly instead of misquoting you dishonestly). All this time I thought Brazil was a smart and savvy Internet monster but he really might be spouting his stupidity and spreading his ignorance simply out of persistent and bullheaded ignorance and stupidity. I might well have been wrong about him all along and \*\*Jshore \*\*deserves even more praise for spending the time **fighting ignorance**. I haven’t had the patience. ---

It contained no quotation marks; did not use the quote feature; and contained no other indication that it represented your exact words. I don’t understand how anyone could honestly claim it was a quote. But the explanation is simple – you are a liar and thus it is easy for you to claim that a non-quote is actually a quote. ETA: Oh, and by the way, if you feel it wasn’t fair paraphrase, please feel free to insert the qualifier about supporting my position in it. My original point stands, **liar-boy**. ---

I refuse to play by his petty rules, especially on a time delay. He is arguing a weak semantic argument as that is all he has. At that he failed to do it anywhere near as well as you. I made a quite tasty loaf of pumpkin bread around Halloween, as well as a great pumpkin pie. One of my favorite variations on banana bread is to replace some of the oil with a big dollop of peanut butter. ---
