I’m a bigot myself, but it goes both ways. I only find people attractive in my size range. (Somewhere b/t 5’5" to 5’10"). Anything different than that, I just have a problem with. I’m not intimidated at all by men much taller than me, I just don’t find them attractive. Same with shorter guys. My boyfriend is 5’10", so he comes in just under the wire. However, I work with a guy who is smokin’ hot. I mean, absolutely beautiful in man terms, and it’s a shame that I can’t really appreciate it b/c he’s about 5’3". (He also has a FANTASTIC body, though.) He says he has a tough time with it, so I know it’s not just me. I’m tired of thinking I’m a bad person with every little predjudice I have. I don’t really have many racial predjudices, I never even notice when someone is handicapped, and I don’t have problems with a certain gender. Let me have my one bit of bigotry! 🙂 ---

When I was in high school, I went to a basketball game where I sat next to a girl I didn’t know. She was cute and funny, and we really hit it off. I was definitely working up the courage to ask her out. At least until we both stood up. She was about 6 inches taller than me. I remember stammering something, then slinking out of the gym. In retrospect, I was incredibly rude, if not cruel. If she was already self conscious about being tall, this didn’t help a bit. But it wasn’t because I was turned off; on the contrary, I thought she’d find me ridiculous (I’m a touch over 5’ 8"). This is one item on my long list of things I’d do over if I could. ---

Well, you’re a bigot, but I suppose I’m a bigot too - I’m 5’8" and I’ve never dated a man who was shorter than 5’6". Of course, a man who was shorter than 5’6" has never asked me out, so it’s not exactly like it’s been a huge issue. I was at a bar once sitting on a tall stool and a fella asked me to dance - I hopped up to go with him and his nose was _literally_ right between my breasts. We were actually both a little weirded out. (But I still danced with him.) ---

[/QUOTE] It was never a problem, and in fact, we fit together PERFECTLY in the “spoons” position for snuggling. The funny thing is that I’m 5’2" and the shortest guy I’ve dated is almost 6’ tall. ---

I am 5’9" and I am also a height-ist. I have dated shorter men, but I prefer taller men (at least 6 feet). I like it because they actually make me feel sort of petite and feminine, and I like taller men. Hubby is 6’2". 🙂 ---

As far as sexual attraction is concerned, I tend to be attracted to skinny guys (though I’m not), and height isn’t an issue at all. I love 'em tall and lanky, as well as little skinny guys and everyone in-between. My partner is tall and boney, which is perfect. Other than sexual attraction, a person’s weight is totally a non-issue for me. ---
