Does any (Eastern) Canadian know if they broadcast new tapings? The only ones I’ve ever watched are on The Comedy Channel (!) and they are either one or two years old. Great show, BTW. Good for you EJ. Too bad you didn’t win the loot. Where do you go for the try-out? Is it one location or do they do it in several cities, do you know?
The show is taped in LA, you must go there. I wonder if in the future, they might tape in different cities as a kind of Ben Stein road trip, like Leno.
Can you tap into US programming with a satellite or something? Ours runs on Comedy Central, which I think is nationwide.

I wonder if the final round questions have been tweaked to be a bit less obscure. I’ve done better on them than in the past, usually better than Ben and the contestant, in the low pressure atmosphere of my living room.

No idea on the re-air date; I couldn’t even get the air date! The only was y I knew it was on, is my brother calling me because it came on back east.

Ben Stein is fairly active in conservative political circles. (I understand he spoke at the recent GOP convention, IIRC.) He writes a funny diary of his life every month in The American Spectator, the right wing magazine.
He’s lectured on law on Pepperdine University…and I think he still lives out in LA, and in Idaho. Does small movie roles, commercials too.

All I’m gonna say is that you did a great job. I do fairly well playing at home, but Ben Stein is the show I do worst in.
