# I am an Instant Messenger SLUT!

Oh yes I am. I was doing ok with just ICQ installed … I have a cable modem and work from my home, so I am always online and chatting with several friends and acquaintances around the country - nay, the world.
Then I found the SDMB. I started making friends with people … people who DIDN’T have ICQ. While this stunned and bewildered me, I strove to embrace the diversity in our little community. I made pretty good friends with one fella who had AIM instead of ICQ. So I downloaded AIM, just to talk to him.
It was downhill from there. A girl I was emailing asked me to get MSN so that we could talk in real-time. I did. I couldn’t stop myself.
A few nights later I was talking to someone in #straightdope chat, and he mentioned that he has Yahoo! Messenger. Frustrated but resigned to my fate, I downloaded it and added him to my contact list.
The end result is, I have FOUR instant messagers on my computer. And for three of them, I only have \*\* one \*\* person on my contact list!
I am sure that before long, someone else I’m talking to will say, “Oh I don’t have any of those programs … I use the Weasel Goat Messaging Software. It’s the best.” And I will reluctantly point my browser towards [http://www.weaselgoat.com](http://www.weaselgoat.com) and go download it. I have no willpower.

And here I sit at the mouth of the Red Sea with no type of instant messaging available, just wanting to shoot a line to **Brunetter** letting her know that I love sluts. IM or otherwise.
That and hoping she’d talk dirty to me and tell me she’s naked.

I tried icq, but it pissed me off, if you want to get your messages a day late, use yahoo messenger, I do ! oh am I day late?

I would have used the thing you had first but my mommy will not let me download any .exe files to this PC. I swear.
Anyway I have yahoo and ICQ on my other pc so if you want I will start talking to you on those once I get back to the regular school year.
