Well there’s not much use celebrating, now that you’ve got the rest of us beat. Since you reminded me, I may plant the garlic bulbs. It’s about time. Other than taking out the recycling, that’s about all I got. ---

I considered not taking a shower before going to work, but then I remembered I didn’t take a shower before going in yesterday, either, so I figured that was probably not a good idea. ---

My Earth Day is being spent indoors as it is pouring rain outside. I did notice my daffodils have begun blooming. 🙂 ---

I did laundry but chose to air dry almost everything in the apartment. Small, yes, but it saved a lot of electricity which in turn kept the Con Edison power plants from burning as much peat. Yeah, peat. They used to use divining rods like this ⅄ to find peat, but now they just cut it from the wetlands in New Jersey. 😉 Fascinating broadcast on WNYC today on Earth Day. Played clips of Mayor Lindsay giving a speech on the very first Earth Day. He cited Alternate Side of the Street Parking as one positive step that the city had taken. :smack: ---

As a nitpick, you’re probably at #1 with the Universe. The white stuff that comes out of birds’ butts is actually pee, not poop. Sometimes there will be a black bit in the middle of the white: That’s actual bird poop. ---
