Howdy! Due to popular demand (well a couple of requests, anyways!), and the fact that I’m tired of typing “ **Astrofiancee** ”, I hereby serve notice that from now on (unless I slip up due to shear habit) **Astrofiancee** will be known as **HJ**. (Her real name is **Hyun Jeong** , but no one who is NOT Korean can pronounce that correctly, so I’ll abbreviate to simply **HJ** ) **HJ** and I thank you for your kind attention. We now return you to your regular programming…😉 ---

Man, here you go on one day posting about s\*\*t going to hit the fan, and then the next day “Astrofiancee is no more”? Don’t **DO]** that to us. [pant pant pant] And on Korean names: There was a funny incident at my h.s. graduation in Maryland. Our senator, Barbara Mikulski, spoke and singled out one student, Hae Ja Yi (I’m not sure if this is correct but we pronounced it “Hay Dja Yee”), for mention - only good Pole that Barbara is she of course said, “High Yah Yigh”! ---

To pronounce it correctly, you have to kinda combine an /h/ with a /y/ so that the first syllable is /hyun/ (rhymes with “run”), the second syllable is the problem… it’s, uh, well… the first letter is mid-way between a /j/ and a /ch/, and the rest of it is pronounced similar to the word “young” (but with the vowel sounds clipped)… rhymes with nothing in the English language that I know of… Let’s just leave it at “ **Astrogirl** ” Thanks, **Scarlett67**!! I thought the thread title would be amusing without thinking of the larger context (IE: yesterday’s post RE: her mom’s suspicions…) Any **Mods.** who pop in here: would you please change the thread title to something more innocuous? Ya wanna know something? having being following your exploits over the last few months, I have actually started using Pa-bo in my everyday conversation (usually referring to myself). So, tell Astrocallín I said hello, and Go and meet the parents, even if they do curse you out of thier house for being a foreign devil, persistance will wear them down.
