On the surface I agree with **Featherlou** , but on the other hand I really dont think any of us are in the situation to give specific advice except for ‘get a lawyer.’ I’m sorry to hear you’re going through tough times. The Dope’s always here for a virtual shoulder to lean on! ---

Sorry to hear about your troubles but I hope this is what is best for you in the end. Divorce is never easy, no matter how amicable. You mentiond NA - I will keep good wishes for you for any of the people that want to “help” you by getting you drunk (and they seemed to come out of the woodwork during my divorce!) Sometimes the best thing is just to say goodbye. Sorry mate. Good luck. It’s a new beginning. ---

Thanks for the good wishes. There will be no lawyers. We do not own any real property. We each own our cars. We bought furniture and appliances together, all of which I am willing to part with. We were only married for a couple of years, together as a couple for a little over 6. ---
