Hey **St. Anger** , let’s be clear about something. You nice and comfy up there on your high horse? You follow through with your little bit of Internet indignation? You waste some agents’ (note plural possessive) time reading your email and doing their due diligence? Happy? Even if all the agent had to do was read through thoroughly enough to dismiss your concerns out of hand, that’s time away from some other case with more than a shred of legitimacy about it. I’m definitely more on the “pit **St. Anger** ” side than “pit **pduol** ” side (really? “Alerting the FBI” for someone who hasn’t even broken a law (well, not the law you’re alerting him for anyways) and lumping him iwth **Cesario** who _has_ broken the law and is unrepentant about it). Should we report all the Dopers in a same-sex relationship now, where it’s illegal to do that? (Last I heard, correct me if I’m wrong, but “buggery” is still illegal in some states) Or are we just picking and choosing which crimes to report here? I know this is the Pit and not GQ or MPSMIS, but I’m curious if the OP’s divorce (having referred to his “ex” several times) was due to anything relating to his sexual inclination? Yeah, I know, I haven’t really gotten the whole zeitgeist of the 'Pit yet, and this post is barely MPSMIS level and laughable for the Pit. Ummm … fuck? Does that make it better?? ---

Damn, that has to suck. There is a website called ‘child molestation prevention’ that tries to address this issue like adults (w/o fear mongering, rabid hatred, knight in shining armor syndrome, etc). Sexual abuse is probably the biggest public health crisis in the US today. And virtually nobody wants to act like an adult about it. People either want to ignore it, or react badly to it. One of the aspects they work on is finding pedophiles who want to control their urges and getting them help so they do not hurt children. They have a list of therapists who work with clients with those urges and info about the laws in various states. There are too many rapists/molesters out there who self justify. Who say that the woman may not have consented at first but she secretly wanted it. Or she was deep down asking for it. They simply don’t accept that what they did was really all that wrong. But at least we have someone who knows that this is a sickness, that to act could hurt someone. I think that’s something to be thankful for. ---
