Well if I may offer a dissenting opinion, a signature color or font can add character to a person’s posts. The SDMB doesn’t let us have avatars or IMG tags in our signatures, and IIRC this is for bandwidth reasons. But fonts and colors take up very little bandwidth (even less than smileys) and make the board more personable. ---

Your font is very readable. Others aren’t. It’s the message that is important here, and I believe strange fonts and colors detract from the message. I’m fairly sure that my character emerges strongly in my posts even without tricks. Just ask some of the people I’ve pissed off. ---
