# I Am Now An Official Geezer

**swampbear** , you get no bonus points unless I live 'til geezerhood myself. Which, if 'twere longer a stretch, would make for more mirth and less bitterness as I laugh and read this thread. Let’s just say I qualify as apprentice geezer, first class. Now then:

Never meant \*\*Geezer Patrol \*\* to signify anything but those officious types who respond to us oldsters by wasting the time we have left. Definitely not a name for a noble crowd such as we have assembled. **Senile Delinquents**? A near miss, I say, though friend **Ponder** ’s is a voice to be heeded. A quick review of the contestants yields little to inspire my muse. Let me try:

**Black Septuagenarians** : If you’re feeling militant.

**The AARP-VARKS**. There’s just something about Social Security that reminds me of sucking ants out of an anthill. But that may be just the current administration.

**Geri’s Kids**. Even I don’t like this one.

**Geritoligarchy**. I like this better – we rule!

**Methuselahmania**! Only if we can get a band together.

Okay, I give up. \*\*Senile Delinquents \*\* it is.
