We got the pacifier at Party City, by the costume counter. Thye usually start selling the novelty pacifiers in September. They go fast.

My father has a picture of him wearing his Billy-bob novelty teeth holding the boy who has his fang passy. My mother hates that picture.

From someone who has a little boy who will turn one in October and a little girl who just turned three…

Please allow me to laugh for just a moment at all the fun still to come. My precocious little darling tomboy can circumvent any childproofing method out there. Our kid is houdini. She’s teaching the boy. We are afraid. Very afraid.

Ok … He’s adorable by the way! I love seeing other kids pictures and hearing all about their adventures in munchkinland. Keep on bragging about your kid!!!

Its okay. I was always Career Woman, and now I’m just crazy Mommy. I thought I’d be wanting to go back to work pretty soon after he’s born. Now I only have 4 or five months left of EI so I’ll have to work sooner before later.

But my baby is all I talk about, and I never expected such a personality change. You know you are going to love your baby, but I dont think anyone can explain how much until it happens.

I care passionately that your son waved bye-bye. Im also interested to see that Nicholas has the same excersaucer as my son, Miles.

What is/was his favourite toy on the excersaucer. Miles’s favourite was the King and Queen. I kept trying to entice him to the spinny ball thing, or the frog-on-a stick, but he liked the people faces I guess.

Now he hasnt had the excersaucer in two weeks, so Im wondering what he’ll like best on it when I can get it back to him.

When the boy first started on the saucer (ex-lax machine) he loved eating teh fron and flag. Now, he’s too big for it, so he walks along the outside of it knocking the king and queen to get them to play music. He mostly switches back and forth between the king and queen and the horn button.

Oh yes, chew the flag! I had forgotten. _sigh_ And he likes the horn. I’ve kept the songs turned off from the king and queen part, to save the battery for later.

I will have to post pics later.

I wouldn’t worry about that. The battery’s been going for sixmonths… at least.

I don’t have that exersaucer but the battery in the one I do have is 3 years old and going strong…

</div>

Oh that’s good to know. I figured I would want the battery to work if I sold the thing after Miles outgrows it. (Especially since he looks to be an only child.)

I’ve saved the instuction booklet and the box the thing came in for that reason as well.

I’m digging the cow suit, but the picture that really got me was Pinky and his monkey. He sure loves that monkey, doesn’t he?

My boy will sit for a horrifyingly long time, staring at the queen on his exersaucer and babbling excitedly to her. He calls her “Dahb.” It seems that they’re very good friends.

And **tanookie** , in my case, the answer to your question seems to be two. 😃

How many children do you have?

However, I’ve just left my husband (hence no excersaucer for my son…its at our house, and we’re not) and theres not a lot of hope of reconciliation. (First we would have to see monkeys exiting Mike Myers butt, the snowfort in Hades…)

Even before our separation another child was unlikely. Having the one was a “compromise” on his part.

However… _deep breath, big smile_ I have a beautiful son so the rest kind of falls away.

Did I mention my son has learned to push himself backwards across the floorwhile sitting up? He has decided for now that its more effective than crawling?

Parallax and I have two children. The daughter is a little over 3 and the son is almost 9 months. We shouldn’t be having any more because when I had my second Emergency C section I had them snip me while they were in there.

I’m sorry you’ve had to leave your husband. That can’t be easy - especially with a baby involved.

That’s cute that he does the sit n scoot method of locomotion. Babies find all kinds of ways of getting what they want. Watching them amazes me. Right now my daughter is trying to keep her brother out of her trains. It is a losing proposition on her part.

Oh yes, Moms too.
Just like Paul Reiser said in _Parenthood_, parenthood does it to you in little ways like taking away your NOUNS.

I’m constantly asking my husband, “Can you get me a…uh…thing you put on his butt…y’know…”

Hubby: “A DIAPER?”

Me: “Right. Yeah. And some…uhhhhhh…”

😃

**Dangergene** -We’re kissing too!
Cracks me up. He’s equal opp and kisses _everybody_.

We’re at the grocery store the other day, and he leans over to give the lady cashier a kiss. She politely offers him her cheek, as, y’know, Piggly Wiggly probably doesn’t endorse the employess making out with shoppers, and he grabs her face, wrenches it forwards, and plants a wet juicy square on the piehole.
That kid doesn’t mess around!

</div>

**Sidle** , isn’t the kissing just the cutest thing? The young master now differentiates between male and female kissers, a male receiver is given a silent kiss, but a female receives a hearty, ‘wooooooo’ with the kiss. Too funny, to be sure!

And the sliding backwards on the floor? He started with that before he could sit, he’s now onto actual walking, but I caught him on sunday afternoon puting a cushion on the polished wood floor in the loungeroom and sitting on it, then pushing himself across the floor!

as many others have said, it goes on and on… tee hee!

(oh, and we went SWIMMING for the first time on sunday, he didn’t like the other kids splashing, but he LOVED the water to kick and splash about it!).

-Gene!

My wife put forth the theory that the boy grabbed a handful of brains on the way out.

We were going swimming about 2-3 times a week, but now that were having to get tubes, I guess that’s out.

Pinky is the cutest nickname evar. I had a cat named Pinky, and one time I had a troll on another messageboard named Pinkypong. Not that your baby is a cat or a troll, but you know what I mean. 😃
