What in thunder does it matter that Bush sticks to his guns and states his beliefs clearly? He’s so often incorrect! If he was in first grade, he might get gold stars for being so honest. But what matters now is that he behave wisely, whatever his motivation might be. Gee… I’m somewhat embarrassed to be an American these days… and “nukular” still just sounds damn goofy… ---

Kind of like cutting costs by not sending in Special Forces to finally get bin Laden, when you can save a few bucks and hire the locals ( whose loyalties are suspect at best… ) to do the job, blow the job, return emptyhanded and destroy our credibility worldwide. Yeah. Maybe he did use the word correctly. Kind of horrific though, isn’t it? ---

On an equally important point, I did notice in the wide shots that Bush had more light on him than Kerry did. I guess the Lighting Director was a Republican… :dubious: ---

I am proud of My President (well, he’s still not \*\*My \*_President, mind you), because he can do an Alfred E. Neuman impersonation for 90 minutes, without wetting himself or those near him._ Maybe it’s me, but as the debate wore on, the contrast between their head shapes became more and more pronounced. Kerry also started to look like a caricature, but I can’t place it. But Bush started to look like a cross between Alfred E. Neuman and the speak-hear-see-no-evil monkeys. And after he said “nukulur,” didn’t it seem that Kerry said the word, correctly, a lot more times than he really had to? \*Actually, I’m only assuming he didn’t wet himself; I forgot to look at the end, when he stepped away from the podium. ---
