I suppose it’s possible that the catastrophically stupid could blame them on the Democrats, but this isn’t like 1968 – in '68, Nixon blamed the Democrats for riots happening with a Democrat in the White House. It doesn’t seem as likely to be effective for Trump to try and blame the Democrats for something that is happening under his watch, and that his rhetoric and actions are making worse. Indeed. Of course this being America, it’s entirely possible that the riots will help mobilize more Trumpists, but it would be deeply ironic since Trump bears much of the responsibility for them. He’s emboldened the fascists and bigots in police departments the same way he’s emboldened a minority of them in Customs & Border Protection, ICE, and throughout the government where he’s installed his corrupt and zealous cronies. Quite a few other recent presidents have been divisive, but Trump, as with everything else he does, is so insane and completely over the top that he seems to be literally laying the groundwork for another civil war.
