**Monty** , add me to the list of “assholes” that want to call you out on your comment. **clay** ’s girlfriend missed his performance, got upset over this, and cried. How, exactly, does that make him a jerk? If your answer is something like “He was in a play, duh”, then some of us are not getting it. And please try to provide an actual answer instead of simply insulting me. I hope you are capable of such. **Lib** – lighten up. It’s not neccessary for you to be a lawyer 24/7. **clay** – that sucks. And I bet it was hard for you not to be seen by her either. I’m guessing it was important for you as well. But I wouldn’t blame the principal too much. Sometimes people in authority need to back up their underlings in order to provide a united front. It wouldn’t have done the faculty’s morale or credibility much good if she agreed that the VP was a lying sack of shit. ---

Yeah ok, maybe the P & VP should have told you the real reason why they didn’t let the kids in. Maybe they thought you weren’t mature enough to understand the fact that interupting a play is disruptive and rude. You have to consider other people’s enjoyment of the play too you know. ---

What I did second was admit to my own density, and seek a better understanding. I then asked another question in the hopes of making sense of the rant. After having finally formulated my concerns, I expressed them, I thought, with civility. That was when Clayton used my God’s name as an expletive, and he and his lap dogs lit into me. I then assured him, patiently, that I was not questioning his truthfulness, and proceeded to explain in quite some detail why his conclusion about his principal and vice-principal did not add up. In fact, throughout the course of my discussions with him, I have been polite, patient, understanding, and civil. You apparently have me confused with something you’ve made up. ---

That sucks, **clayton**. Don’t worry, tho. I am sure it is the worst thing that will ever happen to you and your gf. Soon you will be an adult, get a job, and no one will ever lie to you again. And I think many fail to appreciate the tremendous service **Lib** is providing here - offering himself up as a convenient target for these kids’ wrath, instead of folks who have control of their _permanent records_! In as much seriousness as I can bring to bear on this topic, rather than just wailing and gnashing your teeth about those big bad lying adults, howzabout looking ahead and seeing if there is anything you could do to prevent similar recurrences in the future? Maybe see if future presentations could be paced/presented in a manner to allow seating in betwen acts. Discuss this ahead of time with your faculty sponsor and the administration, and note the seating policy on any posters/announcements. Nah, forget it. Who’s got the rotten eggs? ---

Bringing up the crying angle makes your gf out to be a histrionic teenager. Look, it’s too bad she missed the play, and I’ll assume that she expected to be back in time to see it. Sometimes buses are late and you miss plays. No need to cry about it. I don’t think there was a grand conspiricy to make the field-trip students miss the play. Maybe they did not wish to bring a grinding halt to the performance to usher in dozens of people.
