I just searched on my username for the last week and noticed that of the 10 threads listed, I was the last poster in 5 of them. This leads me to an inescapable conclusion. I killed them. Look on me you teeming millions and despair, for I am the thread killer! Somehow I was hoping to be remembered for something else, but what can you do? Some people are born to greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them. :rolleyes: ---

Gather round children, it’s high times ye learned about the rise and fall of the Threadkillers. Not saying that you guys are copying, but there is a history here. Bear with me, because if does have a moral. Back before the great board re-vamp Threadkillers became quite a [phenomenom](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=36448&highlight=Threadkiller). (Caused by me, I humbly add.) Good fun all around. Lots of pastries. But then we tried doing it [again](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=53434&highlight=Threadkiller) and things got a bit out of hand. Like, 21 pages out of hand. The mods came in and decided that any contests revolving solely around pointless filler posts that loaded up the server with completely purposeless posts were bad ideas, since they just slow the server down. So in answer your original statement, **Bumbazine** , **particlewill** is the undisputed SDMB Super-Mega-Ultimate-Threadkiller-of-DOOM. Sorry, but the title’s been taken, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be transferred any time soon. And the moral, as promised: Threadkilling’s all fun and games till the server loses its bandwith. ---

Why is it so bad to be the last person to post? Why isn’t it like getting the last word in during a discussion? Some people do their best to get the last word and yet on the board it really is a downer to see that you were the last one to post. 😕 ---

Yeah, I thought about that **Jester**. I was around for those threads too. But then I thought: “Hey, it’s me. Nobody reads my posts anyway.” And I figured I’d get 15, maybe 20 replys, tops.
