I am totally screwed. I have _NO_ money. I have _NO_ food. I have _NO_ cigarettes. I _may_, if I am lucky, have enough gas to make it to work tomarrow. If I do make it to work I _WILL NOT_ make it home. And I can’t even bitch about it. Here is what happened. My car was stolen. It happened to have my checkbook, wallet, credit cards, ATM card and most of my clothes in it. I am waiting to get my new checks, ATM card and credit cards. My credit union is in a different state. Until my car was ripped off this was not a big deal. But I was ok because I got paid on Friday and got my check cashed at a casino out here. I managed to get the HR department to turn off the direct deposit in time to get my check. So I had enough money to get through. Then something **REALLY BAD** happened. My sisters Mom died. (She is my half sister, we share a Dad) This happened while I was at work. My sister had to get out to New Mexico for all the obvious reasons. To get an airline ticket she took **ALL** of my money that I had in my room which happened to be all my money. I got home and found out I had $3.75 in change to buy gas for my 1973 Cadillac(which my Dad loaned me) to get me to and from work. The car gets 10mpg. Work is about a 20 mile round trip. Gas is about 1.50 a gallon. Do the math. Then a thin ray of hope. My roommate owed my sister alot of money so he was supposed to give me $100 to last me until my sister got back. Well, my roommates pay checks got delayed because, apparently, the person who handles the paychecks screwed up. So he has no money. I have no money. I am screwed. I really can’t bitch at anyone except maybe my roommates HR department. Slee ---

Either the fates are trying to tell you to stay home from work, or your good karma just ran out and it’s time to pay your dues. Any chance that a co-worker could give you a lift to and from work? Or that you could just call in poor to work? $3.75 should buy you several packages of Ramen noodles if you could just stay home and not have to drive anywhere. Or see if a relative could wire you some money. Hang in there. ---

Ahhh, the suck gets worse…and better. The Suck Getting Worse: I talked to my roommate(#1) and he says that his paycheck was now taken by the IRS because he owes a lot of back taxes. I know he owes taxes but I don’t believe this because…well just read on. I talked to my sister not 30 minutes ago and learned somthing interesting. It turns out my sister **DID NOT** take my money. She put the plane ticket on her credit card. So my lovely roommate apparently figured he could “borrrow” my money, say Steph took it and pay me back before anyone caught on. Well, that didn’t work. So I am still screwed but I have someone to be pissed at. That thieving little son of a bitch. Oh, I forgot some immportant information. Once my sister and I figured out what happened, which didn’t take long once we talked, she asked me to find her check books. They are gone. I wonder who took them…hmmmm. Now for a downside. Merrick, the thieving roomate, has a 8th degree blackbelt. I am some what worried about confronting him because he can kick my ass. But on the bright side if he hits me it is automatically a felony. On to the getting better part. I log in to my mail tonight and what do I find? An email from PayPal because Rachel, a Doper, read my thread and sent me $20. Another Doper, Ringo offered to loan me $50 if we could figure out how to get the money transfered. A giant _YOU ROCK_ to both Ringo and Rachel. Slee ---

I talked to the Thief and told him that if I do not get my money tomarrow I will call the police. It appeared that he started to cry. That actually freaks me out more than him getting pissed because it seems he may be just a tad unstable. What truely pisses me off is that a)I would have tried to help him if he asked b)he used my sisters Moms death as an excuse and c)my sister really didn’t need this kind of shit right now. Using someones death in that manner is just sickening. I also get to move because he is no longer going to be our roommate. I _HATE_ moving. Slee ---

I don’t understand…your roommate ripped you off? Jesus! What kind of asshole is this guy? I don’t think I’d room with anyone I didn’t know a little better. This is hindsight talking. I had a roommate that was a parolee and he ended up being a theiving jag too. ---

The Thiefboy has been my sisters roommate for a while now. Like 2 years. He owes her a _BUNCH_ of money. Like thousands. I knew he owed her some money but not how much. I figured it was like $150. Apparently ThiefBoy is bi-polar. I learned this from my sister on the phone. I was going off on what a dickhead ThiefBoy is and she put in “…well his is bi-polar…”. Well, I am an alcoholic(recovering) who has severe depression but I never ripped anybody off. Much less used the death of a loved one as cover for the thieving. (#1) On the bright side, I have enough money to make it to work and we are moving. Probably next week. Thiefboy is going to be Homeless ThiefBoy soon. Make that Homeless Friendless ThiefBoy because as far as I can tell my sister was his only friend. The lease is in my sisters name so we’ll lose the damage deposit but that is a small price to get away from this thieving little ass. Slee #1. My Grandmother died in 1996. She lived alone. I had most of my stuff stored in her garage because I had just moved back into town. I went over there one night to get some things. I found the house wide open at 10pm. She locked up at sundown. I found her in the backyard. She had a heart attack while working in the garden during the afternoon. Painless apparently. I called the medics and the police and my Dad. They pronounced her and took her off and my Dad freaked out. I went home with my parents because we were all in bad shape. The next day I went over to the house to find that someone broke in and looted the place. They took most of the expensive stuff, TV’s, VCR’s, about 1000 dollars worth of silver dollars my Gram kept and also took all my guitar gear. Apparently the thieving bastards figured out that my Gram had died and thought it was a good time to rip off the house. Those bastards need a nice hot seat in hell. ---
