I started a GQ thread on the Wnadering Jew a while ago. Here 'tis. [http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=32792](http://boards.straightdope.com/sdmb/showthread.php?threadid=32792)

I got several useful responses, and lots of jokes.

According to [Kashrus.org](http://Kashrus.org) ( [http://www.kashrus.org/kosher/kosherfish.html](http://www.kashrus.org/kosher/kosherfish.html) ), the jewfish is related to sea bass, and is indeed kosher.

Always good to know these things ;j.
