Being illustrated with line drawings the solution was obvious, and multiple boxes of colored pencils were purchased. Of course just coloring in the pictures wasn’t enough, every tree had to be different. Blue tree with purple leaves, green tree multi-colored leaves, polka-dot tree … even changed the ❤ to our initials. Got three quarters through my romantic gesture … and of course … she dumped me. Which also makes me, probably, the only person here who has a reason to hate _The Giving Tree_ for reasons that have nothing to do with its content. ☹ ---

I’m probably the only person on this board with an unabashed love for all things Glam and Hair Metal, especially the more obscure 80s club bands from LA and the East Coast. I think the first Pretty Boy Floyd album is epic and listen to it regularly. I’m proud to have members of PBF, Keel and Kix as friends on Facebook. I’m probably also the only Doper who loves the Wildhearts with the ferocious intensity of a thousand slaved Fender Twins running at full bore.
