Inky-: What a beautiful golden retriever! I guess a running rabbit brought out her recessive killer instincts. Psst – did she eat it?

deb2world: No offense taken! If I sounded a bit ironic, it was because approximately 12 people at work said “Ewwwww – rabbit – how could you? They’re so cute!” I gave up asking for a rabbit recipe here. Should’ve consulted the Teeming Millions right away.

UncleBeer: Thanks! That sounds like a perfect cold weather recipe for this weekend. Chianti or Cote du Rhone as an accompaniment?

No Pug, I didn’t let her eat it. Though Lord knows she wanted to!

I on several occasions had to wrench the poor beasties from her mouth, and occasionally had to offer up a coup de grâce to a mortally wounded bunny.

Incidently, the best French meal I ever had was venison steak in rabbit/mushroom gravy with poached quail breast appitizers. Hell, throw in a few bluebirds and you’d have the whole Snow White platter.

Most everything meat-eating thinks rabbits are yummy. They breed at the rate they do because they are so tasty.
