“Adorable” isn’t the word I’d choose. Such adjectives threaten my manhood.
I had a Protege5 for 12 years, and it had a lot of life left until The Idiot hit me. That’s probably the main reason I went back to the same dealer.
Maybe it needs 4 new tires, a fill up, and a windshield cleaning in less than 30 seconds?
Let’s steer this over to MPSIMS.
I bought a 2010 Dodge Caliber today. I am still freaking out over writing that check. It is black with charcoal grey interior. I am thinking I need to make some seat covers out of white terry cloth cause it is going to get really hot on there in a few months. Almost every car I looked at had black or dark grey interior. Guess it won’t show dirt as easy but crazy hot in the southern US. Did I mention writing a big check?
My truck I sold leaked, oil, transmission fluid, and gas. the odometer and speedometer quit a couple of years ago, the check engine light has been on for 6 months from just after I had a full diagnostic done and spent 800.00 and it didn’t fix the problem. And the AC went out. So I bought a new car and I am still freaking out a bit.
This really pisses me off, I’m sick and tired of… ??? This is in MPSIMS now… well nice car, glad you have some wheels now.
It’s so happy! It’s eyes are all scrunched up with glee. A cute little button nose, and those big ol’ dimples next to that huge grin. Promise me you’ll think about putting some sharp sharky teeth in its mouth.
Ha! Amateur. I had 1993 Mazda 323 hatchback. His name was Bob the Wondercar (the second). When Bob died he had over 369,000 miles on him. I still miss him.
Mazda 6 owner here. Never a problem and I’m sure you’ll be happy with your choice.
Congrats! Wear it in good health, and don’t spend it all in one place.
I traded in my 2004 Mazda3 5-door for a new 2014 model this summer. Cars have changed a little … I call the new one The Starship (it’s the version with the GPS, back-up camera, voice command feature, etc.).
I’m convinced the next generation of these cars will be able to drive themselves.
Congrats man! I know you were struggling with finances for a while there, so I’m glad for you.
And it’s a cool car!
Major league BUMMER!
Picked up the car yesterday afternoon, drove it around some last night, not problems. This morning, starting to work, within the first 10 feet, 4 warning lights come on at the same time!
Engine, tire pressure, automatic transaxle (whatever that is), and traction control lights all lit up simultaneously.
It’s back at the dealer now. The service manager is guessing (hoping?) that this is temperature related. There was a severe temperature drop overnight (about 40 degrees, they tell me), and they’re hoping it’s the sensors themselves that failed or froze.
Whatever, I have a free loaner and a promise that they will do whatever is needed to make it right at no cost to me.
Not a mechanic but I’d put money on that being the cause, especially the tire pressure sensor.
Just a couple of minutes ago I got a call from the dealer. Apparently at some point Mazda issued updates/recalibrated software for their onboard computer. The new software seems never to have been installed in the car, now that it has, all the sensors are reading normally.
I’m not sure why this probably hasn’t appeared earlier, but we’ll see if there are any more problems.
I have a 2008 Mazda(speed) 3 and it’s been a great car. Still fun to drive every time.
As long as the dealer makes things right there may be a few glitches that need worked out with a new car. My sister bought a new Nissan Versa and the rear tire went flat on the way home. Pretty distressing. A bit of back and forth with the dealer and a new wheel was installed, ~90,000 miles later no other problems.
