Hmmm, you could track down the perpetrator by analysing a sample from the maing city sewer, then taking progressive samples upstream - at each branch, the DNA match will point the direction; keep on going upstream, following the matches until you end up at the perp’s house. (Yes, I know it wouldn’t work due to the overwhelming amount of noise in the signal) ---

Sir, Might I suggest something far more fun than taking a dump on someone’s floor? It’s called an “upper decker” where you leave a bowel movement inside the toilet tank. Not that I condone or endorse such activity nor have I ever participated in such mischief but I’ve heard the results are hilarious. ---

Yes you can be found out. I remember reading an article about this. A primate researcher wanted to find out which poo belonged to whom of the monkeys she was studying and ended up creating a way to perform genetic tests on stool samples to identify the, um, donor. So yes, as of a few years ago they would be able to identify you. ---
