The pleasantly ludicrous catchphrase _I burning your dog_ may be a tad too lighthearted to apply to actual animal cruelty such as in the OP. ---

I’d like to know what connection these kids had to the homeowner. Seems like they had to know her. (The fact that they were recognized by a neighbor as the perpetrators adds credence to this.) You have to be fucked-up to do that to someone’s dog, but really, _really_ fucked-up to do it to some stranger. It seems like they wanted to cause her as much pain as possible, and that kind of nastiness usually isn’t random. ---
