Once she’s getting railed on the cover of _Maxim_ or whatever, dudes are going to be all up on her, but I call [Emily Browning](http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0115161/bio) for myself. She’s one of those women, like Liv Tyler and Julia Roberts IMHO, who can be either drop-dead gorgeous or actually rather homely depending on their expressions, the lighting, the angle from which you’re seeing them, etc. ---

When I saw A Series of Unfortunate Events, and one of Uncle Olaf’s schemes involved forcing her to marry him I remember thinking, "How was that not your FIRST evil plan? But I’m not sure “hot” is the right word. The girl who plays her elder sister, Arielle Kebbel, is more conventionally hot. Browning is what I think of as a synergy girl: the whole is greater than the sum of the parts ---

Browning is another story. She has a great face, and her appeal is harder to define. Some other time I’ll start a thread on beautiful versus pretty versus cute versus sexy. ---

Hrm. I remember thinking, “She’s going to grow up to be quite a looker.” That being said, Maxim? I really don’t like the photography in that magazine. The posing is kinda ‘meh’, and, well, I say this as a film geek… The lighting? Terrible. Makes everyone look like they spent six weeks in a bad, bad tanning salon. I realize that’s the look they’re trying for, but to me it makes all the women look near-identical, and not in an even remotely attractive way. So… From maxim photos, can’t judge- I’m prejudiced. But I did once find her quite attractive. ---
