Tell me if such site exists: you go on the site, with a snippet- either a sound or a bit of lyrics that you can’t use to find it on the internet- in your head (or both), and you record that in a media snippet on the site w/ a mike you have on your PC (you must have a mic). Then, the users try to tell you what that song you crave is. I claim all rights to the idea- I won’t charge anyone, but I deserve the glory of the concept :D. And if anyone starts a fee site with the idea, I’ll start the free site with the idea, dig? ---

It sure sounds good, and I don’t know if such a site already exists; however, [Musipedia](http://www.musipedia.org/) has some of the functions you are asking about, it’s just automatical and very simplified, what with using Parsons codes and all. Even so, while not being a good whistler at all, I can get it to recognize _some_ familiar tunes. What might be tricky, though, is whether a site with snippets of actual songs - as opposed to simple codes like in Musipedia - is breaking any copyright laws. Somebody else surely has an answer for that. ---

So, do any of you have a way of finding out the copyright thing w/o me having to pay a lawyer? Maybe by me just consulting one? And by just claiming rights to it now, is the idea for the site legally mine? Can I sue if someone creates it later? Somehow I think not… ---
