I think there’s something in the lolcat meme that renders aficionados impervious to provocation in general and cranky naysayers in particular. I’ll stop speaking in lolcat as soon as nerds stop thinking this talking like a pirate day is sooooo cute and clever and campy and fun!!! I don’t hang out much in the Pit, but I wandered over today just to find out if there was a thread already started on this subject, and to start one myself if there was not. I don’t usually mind the old, tired jokes. I find them funny time and time again. If you want to tell a story about how you said “Hi, Opal” from the bottom of the Marianas Trench (just once, for 20 minutes, in 1960) while carving “All Your Base Are Belong to Us” on the seafloor with your 1920’s style deathray, all the while whistling \*Rio \*by Duran Duran, you get a gold star from me! And if you can find some way to work in a Hal Briston/Sheep reference, I’ll give you bonus points! But this “I can has \_\_\_\_\_\_” stuff is just too much. It was funny **once** , and that was it.
