[/QUOTE] This isn’t directed toward you, but your thoughts here get communicated often regarding different “cutesy” sayings that get used and then overused. Why does everything have to be edgy, have deep educational meaning, or be funny, or “gut-bustingly funny”? Isn’t just plain old silliness for the sake of silliness okay? The cats are cute, some of the captions are good for a smile and how can a person not like cats? As to the little sayings that come out of these things, they get used because they’re easy, silly, create a small sense of camaraderie among the “in-crowd”, and are sort of fun. And they die off very quickly, to be replaced by some other silly saying. I’d much rather see bad grammar used as slang than because the person using it is being purposefully ignorant (irregardless users I’m looking at you!). PS (precious moments are ICK!!!) ---

And if their hair lights well, they go up like marshmallows and it’s like eating little charcoal briquettes with legs. _But_, cooked right–say to a nice medium rare–there ain’t nothing that beats a good cat, and I’m willing to meet any man who says otherwise with pistols at dawn. The ladies, of course, have the option of choosing a champion if they would prefer not to duel. This seems only fair seeing as how they are the fairer sex. Also, my mother was of that persuasion, so it is only natural that I should have a soft spot in my heart for their kind. ---

It’s not really the lolcats site that I’m pitting, it’s much more the insipid use of lolcat speak here. I just wouldn’t go there. And it would take a major dickhead to go there and complain – though I bet they get that. Even the carry over here might have been cute and mildly amusing the first time… or the second… but if the person doing it for the 6,240,851st time thinks it’s funny, then… I don’t know what. You tell me. Can that person really think it’s funny? ---
