# I Can Has Neologism?

A few times now, in emails to friends and in posts to [my LiveJournal blog](http://robardin.livejournal.com), I’ve used the fanciful term “Algoria” to refer to the space of results of Internet searches, as a reference to the urban legend that [Al Gore Claimed To Have Invented The Internet](http://www.snopes.com/quotes/internet.asp).

I think it’s minorly clever in an annoying, self-indulgent and ironic way (which describes me pretty well). I Googled it and it doesn’t seem to have been independently used anywhere – it seems I legitimately made it up. Anybody want to help me promote it?

ETA: I looked up Webster’s definition of [neologism](http://www.m-w.com/cgi-bin/dictionary?sourceid=Mozilla-search&va=neologism):
