Aww, no way. Look, once a cat has been there 7 months, he has squatter’s rights. I’m pretty sure the Supreme Court has ruled on this. Besides, I can’t be the only one who’s seen “The Cat Came Back.”

Well jeez, I don’t think he’s suffering. I do leave the bathroom door open when I am home, but he has never tried to leave…I don’t think he wants to go bacxk outside. Would you? Starving and getting chased by the local wildlife versus living like a blob with your food and toilet all within easy walking distance.

Did the previous house owners mention a black cat in the contract of purchase & sale?

This leads me to wonder - who lives in the closet? and under the stairs?

Hell, I have two very spoiled, non-feral kittens, and I get seriously harassed when using the john. I think it’s a law: While thou haveth a cat, thou shalt not peeith alone.

Heh. Do you know those flat metal ducts that come out of a furnace (I assume that’s where they come out of, I don’t know nothing). Anyway, one day I am upstairs doing dishes, and I hear a metal banging noise coming from downstairs. At the time I was fostering a great dane mix and he had gotten on top of the duct work, and was crawling around.
He didn’t actually live there, but it was funny, took a few minutes to convince him to come down.

And you’ll have you choice of tender vittles (the blob likes the beef) or some expensive stuff the vet gave sold me, recuperative, which I think is fancy language for kitten food, but he’s doing well on it.

How **is** our Favorite Plumbing Fixture anyhoo?

Has he come out from under the sink yet?

Have you _named_ him yet?

I suggest “Mister Plumber”.

Or “U Bend”.

**Bosda** his name is Bill, Bill The Cat. He bit me this morning, but he was purring, so we are still friends.

He had a crisis a couple of days ago, one of the pipes burst, and he has had to vacate his hding spot. So he moved to the towel closet, which is much softer. Plus he gets to glower down at me from ceiling level, things are going well for him.

hah! love this story - write in to CatFancy with it and maybe they’ll send you free stuff.

Feral cats aren’t always people haters - it’s possible he was left there by the old owners and is just reclaiming his prior territory. Or he might have been abandoned years ago after a year or so of owning a person (like I suspect my Tabby was).

P.S. My Blackie used to give me love bites - gentle ones - maybe your kitty is the same! _waves a bundle of catnip at Bill_

I wondered about that **Venoma** if maybe the last home owners left him behind…given they left most of their stuff here (old underwear, every newspaper ever published, shoes, a dead riding lawnmower), why not leave their cat behind?

you poked him with a stick?

i’m a bit baffled about the vet recommended food, did you take him to the vet’s or does your vet do house calls?

i’m rather intrigued by your household. and now i find you speak puppy as well…

I didn’t jab him with it, it was more of a gentle hearding. I was hoping he would go away.

No, I haven’t been able to convince the vet to make house calls, but recuperative was stuff he recommended when I went in to buy the deworming stuff that I was going to sneak in his food. He doesn’t need it any more, he’s gotten huge.

I do dog rescue, which is why the puppers is here. (I can’t speak puppy though, all she does is make those puppy muttering noises, and I don’t think she can hear…if I’m right, their ears don’t open right away…or maybe that is just eyes)

dog rescue, that explains the dog the cat rode in on.

keep chatting with the cat they really like it when you attempt their language.
