Let me try again: The OP wasn’t defending anyone or anything except his own pride. I think trying to initiate a fist fight to avoid looking like a “chicken” in front of a bunch of random strangers is stupid and immature. If they guy was a few feet away hurling insults I can deal with that and would ignore it, once they’re 4 inches away from my face that’s a different story. Which was the case here so at that point it’s no longer about pride when someone gets in your personal space being aggressive close enough to sucker punch you stick you with a knife, you don’t know if the guy is on drugs etc. If you don’t realize the difference then obviously you’ve never had any physical confrontations in your life. If that’s the case good for you. But if you wan’t to walk away from a situation like that go ahead, just because someone stands up for himself nothing wrong about that. He just pushed him and didn’t get all donkey kong on his ass . His only mistake was posting it here as far as I’m concerned. ---

Yeah. I haven’t been too clear in this thread (or maybe any thread, whatever), but I don’t think the OP is a monster for this. If you don’t want to get pushed out of this guy’s space, don’t get in his space. Just because it boils down to monkey politics doesn’t automatically make it stupid. The OP didn’t get in a fight, but I’m sure all the necessary juices got flowing, which is probably also the explanation for the impromptu harem ideation. This OP never agrees with me, but he’s hardly a criminal menace. ---
