My first thought was “Battlefield Earth” but since its taken I’ll submit “Fair Game” calling it crap is an insult to crap. I can still remember one scene, Cindy Crawford walks into a gas station looking like a drowned rat and the pseudo nerd starts drooling over her. My mind-stutters into WTF!! I could’ve understood if some part of the movie had established her as supposing to be hot or something. It’s like an acid burn on my brain. ---

My sister and I sat through “You’ve Got Mail” when it first came out. I thought it was OK, but ended up feeling crappy afterward because I had to go with my sis instead of a guy (I was a few weeks away from meeting the man who is now my ex.) In retrospect, I’m wondering what posessed me to enjoy a movie about a woman who corresponds and falls in love with the man who basically runs her business into the ground AND forgives him at the end. :mad: ---

Battlefield Earth for me. It was such a shitty movie, I just kept watching to see how much worse it could get. I sat through AI at the theater. I went with a friend so it wasn’t too bad as he and I joked through out the movie. ---

Rent: My wife and I went with a friend of hers who was in from out of town. Total shit. Horrible. Horrible. Horrible, but I didn’t want to say anything in case the girls were enjoying it. When the credits started to roll, all three of us sat there like we’d just seen a horrific accident. Children of Men. Among the most boring and idiotic movies I’ve ever seen. My wife insisted we keep watching because it was either going to get better or it would be interesting to see how it could get any worse. It kept surprising us. ---

I watched “Talladega Nights” recently. I’ve been told it’s funny if you’re really into NASCAR. I’m not, but I’m suspicious I’d find it amusing even if I were. I don’t think I laughed once, but for some reason I watched the whole darn movie waiting for a joke. Because I hate talking about bad movies without mentioning a good movie, the first time I saw “Umbrellas of Cherbourg,” it was on TV at, like, three AM. I was just channel surfing for a couple minutes before heading to bed, but found it so entrancing I watched the whole darn movie. I hadn’t intended to watch more than five minutes or so. ---

I sat through [The Beast](http://www.jabootu.com/beast.htm). On SciFi, so I could have easily watched something else, gone outside, read a book, got some work one, done laundry, cut my toenails, etc. I didn’t. Running time: Four Hours. Top **that**! ---

Sorry you feel that way. **Children of Men** was one of my favorite movies of 2006. And with a 92% at Rotten Tomatoes a lot of critics felt the same way. ---

oh dear god, I just remembered Babylon AD Every instinct was screaming this movie is gonna suck. But it had Michelle Yeoh, who I love in it. So I’m thinking however bad it is SHE’LL be cool. Lesson: Always follow your instincts, Michelle WAS okay, but she had ONE FIGHT AND DIED. I sat through 80 minutes of crap. I still don’t know how the movie ended. F$(K Vin Diesel ---

Holy shit, I’d (mercifully) forgotten about **Vanilla Sky** , but I did indeed watch the whole thing. Saw it in the theater, though, so that’s my feeble excuse. Recently, my girlfriend and I rented _Spring Breakdown_\*. We knew it had been direct-to-DVD, but we wanted something light, and with Amy Poehler and Parker Posey as the leads, how bad could it be? Quite possibly the worst comedy ever made. Why we finished it even we couldn’t say. ---

**Meet The Parents** My Step-mom lent it to me, saying it was so great and I’d heard people talking about how funny it was, it wasn’t. I couldn’t help but cringe most of the time over what was happening. I turned it off half way through and went off to do other stuff thinking to return it later and for some unfathomable reason _the next day_ I went and turned it back on and forced myself to watch the rest of it. Unfortunately my friend tends to like movies like this (one of her favourites is **50 First Dates** ) so I end up watching some of them anyhow. Horrible though… absolutely horrible. I don’t know why the heck I went back and watched the rest of it. Though I do admit I found **Don’t Mess With The Zohan** amusing, but I doubt I’ll ever watch it again. ---

The Phantom Menace. Or Attack of the Clones. The one where Ewan McGregor was bounding around on the fakest looking CGI beast. My word, that was a bad, bad movie. I was fascinated by how very bad it was, in so many ways it was laughable. I know these later movies have been discussed to death here before. With good reason! Mr. S and I watched The Servant the other night on TCM, kind of knowing what it was about and familiar with the actors. Afterwards, it was like, what the HELL was that all about??? Not being wealthy upper-class Brits who hire sinister manservants, we figured it had something to do with the class system and severe alcoholism, but were otherwise stumped.
