It would appear that last night I managed to ingest a large quantity of wine. Thus today has been a mix of blurf and sloth, the only productive thing I did was vacuum the carpets and make something for lunch. Next stop, nice hot soaky bath then more cups of tea until some kind soul provides me with dinner and I fall into bed. Irk tomorrow, assuming there is any irk to do. I’m on a countdown, I finish that assignment on Thursday, have a few days off and start a new one back in the civilised world of the uni again the following week. ---

Late blurf. Didn’t get back from work til about 2.30am this morning, and kept waking up. Feelin terribly washed out, though I did go to juggling club for a bit- didn’t wind up doing much though. I think an early night is in the cards. ---

Clouds are thickening gradually - they’re thin enough that you can tell where the sun is, but overcast enough that nary a beam penetrates. Temps in the mid-60s. It’s so cruel - we’ll be in single digits tomorrow night. _Winter suxxxxz!!!_ ---

Just played tourist & then went back at the end to pick up hardware before coming home. As we passed from NJ into PA, there was a US Customs & Border Patrol PD getting on to the hiway; I didn’t realize that NJ is a foreign country. Snow is a comin’ later today, though they’ve revised the forecast down to only about 6" or so. I think the snow’s coming because for the first time in 6 weeks we were getting close to seeing a green backyard instead of a white one. :eek: ---

I just sewed up a workbench pad for \*\*FCD \*\*- he wants something that will protect newly-painted parts from the rough work surface. We cut up the old mattress pad - the one that was partly shredded anyway - and I hemmed it so it’ll just cover the table. I even put away my sewing machine - go me! 😃 The overcast is getting thicker and the temp is starting to drop. Dammit. :mad: ---

Good Afternoon Y’all! Home from deheathenization and brunch over to the church house. Actually have been home for over an hour but futzin’ around da cave and been outside cause it’s currently 74 Amurrkin and sunny out. Nice! Lots o’ rain for tomorrow though and I get to head out early for the south forty where I shall pretty much spend the irkday. Tuesday is Shrove Tuesday, AKA Mardi Gras, AKA Fat Tuesday, AKA the day before Ash Wednesday and the beginnin’ of Lent. Thus, Tuesday night is pancakes, bacon and snausage over to the church house. There will also be beer and wine. ‘Tis a churchwide celebration, but also a fundraiser for our Deacon’s ministries. Everyone is asked to make a donation, but no set price. I am the designated bacon/snausage cooker along with another guy, who happens to be our Deacon’s husband. Tim and I have a good time doin’ this. The pancake team is also all ready to do their thang. There’s also orange juiice, coffee, and soft drinks available. [King Cake](http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/King_cake) and doughnuts shall also be on hand. The service today was especially nice. We had a large crowd and our Priest Associate preached a “knock one out of the park” sermon. This shall be a lazy rest of the day for da bear. ---

Swampie, you need a pancake race. There’s an annual race between the ladies of Olney, England, and those in Liberal, Kansas. They race along a course of equal length, and must flip the pancake at least three times. Whichever country has the best time is declared winner. At our church the Cathedral Choristers, the youth singers, are having spaghetti and meatballs, with garlic bread and salad. Also wine or softer drinks. It’s a fundraiser for their annual trip. ---

I’m debating going out and getting some Chinese food to tide me over through the snow storm. I kind of just want to take a nap. I don’t know why I feel so ick and tired. ::sigh::why does everything have to be hard? Sah-son just brought me the mail. I CANCELED my business bonding and insurance, so what do I get? I notice that it is being reinstated starting March 5. Lovely, just lovely. I’ll be on the phone all day tomorrow trying to get it straightened out if anybody even shows up to work. I’m expecting the agent in MD won’t be in and the company is on PA and probably won’t have anybody around to answer the phones either. No wonder I want to go back to bed. **FCM** it’s been gray all day here and I just closed the blinds and turned on the light. It’s that dark outside. ---

It’s been raining very lightly for a couple of hours - barely above a drizzle. The temp has dropped about 25° from mid-60s to 41° right now. Can Snowmageddon be far behind?? Just in case, we’re going out to get supper. OK, it has nothing to do with the snow. We just want to get out of the house for a while. No idea where we’ll go, but I’ve got to change - I’m not going out to eat in sweats. I gots some class. ---
